MISSION STATEMENT

The Metropolitan Garden Club of Portland is devoted to the promotion of aesthetic and environmentally-friendly gardens. MCGP enhances the experince of gardening and promotes general interest in individual and community gardens through membership networking, education and civic activities.

CLUB HISTORY

The Metropolitan Garden Club of Portland was founded in 1938 as the Men's Garden Club of Portland and became coed in 1985. As the oldest garden club in the Portland metro area, our members include the novice weekend gardener as well as Master Gardeners and landscape professionals.

MONTHLY MEETINGS

Monthly meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month from January through October. Social from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Featured Speaker 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm

LOCATION

All meetings are held at the Subud Center, 3185 NE Regents Drive, Portland, Oregon (Mapquest link) except for meetings held in June, July & August, which are held at members' home gardens.

DIRECTIONS

Traveling east on I-84, take the 33rd Avenue exit. At the top of the exit turn left and proceed about 1.1 miles heading north on 33rd. Go past Fremont Street and continue on 33rd to Bryce Street. Turn left onto Bryce Street and go about 0.1 miles, turn right onto NE Regents Drive and go about 1 1/2 blocks to the Subud Center.
